cheval blanc rapids montreal
I just discovered in Montreals own PDF of the ten eco territories a photo of the land BEFORE IT WAS BULLDOZED AND BUILT ON.
Unbelievable.
http://www2.ville.montreal.qc.ca/ocpm/pdf/PD04/3fffEN.pdf
The wild land/forest in the photo below the white buildings on the left-middle in the photo is ALL GONE. This really upsets me.
A tiny strip of wild land on the riverbank endures.
But we have the city sewage outputs there, but don`t speak of it.

Collected tires
I had collected and moved all the tires I found in White horse Rapids to an entrance point.
I was going to put them out in June, but weather and stuff didn`t agree.
I remember having collected 12 tires , but I only found 8. Along with the car battery and the motorbike frame.
P.S. Thanks to the person who took the heavy chrome parts off the bike, so I could move it.

Sept 6th 2010
Cap St Jacques. Park on the western tip on the Island of Montreal. East side of the park.
Glass shard sticking up. I found this naturally and is not staged.
First bucket of glass for the day. A heavy one as it was all semi-flat pieces and no half or whole bottles.
I worried the plastic garbage bag would break with a second bucket added so I dumped the second bucket in the metal holding container.

Dead Fish
I was picking up garbage on the shoreline, these bits of blue plastic foam.
I then noticed a large fish skeleton. See the red circles of its spinal column.
This looks to me like the photos of dead birds that ate fish in the ocean, the fish had ate plastic bits.

dead birds
I don`t know for sure if this fish had a bunch of indigestible foam in its stomach, but it looks like it.
In the future, whenever I find a dead fish I will cut it open and photograph it.
This one was long dead, no meat left on it.

August 25 , 2010
First bucket and a metal pole and broken fishing pole.
Second bucket.
Lead plate from a battery in the water.
Lead on a rock with my hand on the left.
Lead in my bucket next to a children's sunglasses and a beer bottle.
Lead is not good eating!
.
More battery lead I found.
.
I did pick up what garbage I could see/ I could pick up.
Something I can not pick up is this huge metal frame of a bus or truck that is in the shore nearby. This metal frame has a tire sticking out from the side. I cut off half the tire with a hack saw. I will take a photo of it later.

First bucket of the day with a pile of glass for the second in the background.
The second bucket of the day.
I didn`t want to do this third one, but I had to out of fear the bottles would be broken by some asshole and be 100 times worse to clean up. Picking up 50 odd pieces of a broken bottle.
Anyways the garbage bag in the bin broke. Thinner bag maybe . And I had to dump the third bucket on the ground next to the garbage. Should I have dumped it on top? I don`t know.

August 14 photos
12 liters of broken glass from the river shoreline. Next to the walkway on the entrance of the Cap St Jacques Park.
Junk on the shore.
More junk on the shore.
End of day close up.
The red circle is around what looked like a chrome plated blender. A blender in the river?
End of day far away. They had not picked up the wood. It is very heavy.
