In the woods near the train-bridge of Whitehorse/Cheval Blanc rapids woods. The campfire people come back and make a mess. I moved the campfire rocks back into the river. If they want another fireplace they will have to walk in the broken glass they made to pick up the rocks.
I found the laws of the city for the park , but no one enforces them (in the park).
RÈGLEMENT RELATIF À LA FRÉQUENTATION ET À LA CONSERVATION
DES PARCS RÉGIONAUX DE LA VILLE DE MONTRÉAL RCG 09-029
UPDATE They keep rebuilding the fireplace Oct 7 and Oct 16

The shoreline of Cheval Blanc Rapides/ Whitehorse Rapids park has a bunch of construction debris. I tossed up the larger pieces of asphalt and brick earlier in the summer. The 25th I got around to bringing it to the curb.
Thursday the 27th at dusk I saw a large front loader of the city pick it up, and taken away.
There are still two other piles to be brought up, but like I wrote of before, there is much more asphalt and concrete on the shoreline. So I question how much progress is being made. Is it a hopeless battle?

UPDATE Two other piles brought up.

At Cap St Jacques at the free dock on the North East side, I added two more toxic beams to the pile in front of the garbage bin for a total of four. I had brought small tires to attach to the beams to make it easy to take out, but had forgotten to fill the tires with air, so had to take them out the hard way, a foot at a time. My continuing to work was a mistake from my stubbornness. I should have come back another day with the correct tools.

I took yesterdays, the September19th cut up rebar to the eastern edge of the park. Just broken up cement is left to be moved to the walkway.
I did a bit of cleaning in the morning at the official cheval blanc public park. This (photo above of garbage) came from the fisherman area I don't normally clean. I don't clean it because the fishermen never clean it and I was hoping they noticed what a mess they were making.

An other engine block on the shoreline of Cheval Blanc Whitehorse Rapids park
I put it on a cart and took it to the street. I thought I was going to have difficulty in bringing it up a small hill, but I managed to do it without a winch . I brought one just in case.

A mother , father and baby witnessed me doing the job and they (the father) thanked me several times.

I brought my sledgehammer and smashed the crap out of the engine block in top photo. It looked like the second photo above when I was done.
I used my industrial strength plastic bucket to take the smashed pieces to the curbside and fire-hydrant.
I estimate the weight at 30 pounds. This smashing and manipulation of the engine block gave me the confidence in my ability to move it.
UPDATE I took the entire engine out on the 9th of Sept 2012. The second one for this summer!

four cylinder engine |
I took the engine block out of cheval blanc rapids/whitehorse rapids woods on dolly/hand truck.
I mounted the dolly onto my bike to get the dolly to and from the woods.
This garbage has been bugging me since about 2009 when I first found it. No one is coming to help. If you got a problem you have to fix it yourself.
From point A to point B on the above map.
According to the time stamp on the photos, about a forty minute (duration of time) march.
I left it here in front of the hydroquebec transformer. It was gone shortly thereafter. Either a scrap metal collector took it for the money, or the city took it away.
