Bags of garbage

The photos of bags of garbage on this blog do not magically appear. I fill the garbage bag up in 15 min. to an hour and take the bag to be picked up by the city. Most garbage comes from little bits everywhere that add up to one large bag when collected into a group. Photos height and width (March 26, 2024) now match original.

I cleaned at the new Marina. The piece of foam I took to the garbage yesterday, today I cut up, to stop crazy people from throwing it into the river for fun. I also cleaned the shoreline. All the four city garbage containers that are shown as red spots on the Bing map top-down image are full, so I will not be going back any time soon .

From Bing maps, a top-down view of the new marina.

No-name park
I went to three parks today for reconnaissance, to see if any were in need of cleaning and none were too bad.

I went to park Paquin and on my visual inspection it had a handful of garbage , so I went on to the no-name park that is the photo for todays blog post. The small park is a short distance away, north and a bit west.

Again at the no-name park, just a handful of garbage, that I did pick up and took to the city garbage.

Then I went to the new marina and walked the eastern shoreline and did not find much garbage. I filled a maximum size (found discarded) zip-lock bag with garbage and had thrown the collected garbage out in the city container, when to my surprise, I discovered the city had removed the fence next to the sand  volleyball/badminton court. This gave me my opportunity to take out a huge piece of Styrofoam that had been on the other side of the previous five foot tall fence. This foam had been bugging me for years, but it was too dangerous to get to, with the fence on one side and wicked thorn bushes and such plants on the other.

So it was a good day.
