Bags of garbage

The photos of bags of garbage on this blog do not magically appear. I fill the garbage bag up in 15 min. to an hour and take the bag to be picked up by the city. Most garbage comes from little bits everywhere that add up to one large bag when collected into a group. Photos height and width (March 26, 2024) now match original.

RDP 200 I collected one medium bag of garbage and took out some bricks that were on the shoreline.

I tried digging out the truck frame at Cap St Jacques free boat launch area. I had to give up. It is beyond my ability.
The frame I think has "shocks" on the frame that go deep into the earth, so it is impossible to lift out of the soil. It needs to be dug down far deeper than I can go. Maybe next year.

If you enlarge this photo , you might see the tire

Cheval Blanc rapids/ Whitehorse rapids east of the rapids the was this tire in the shoreline.

The soil is like quicksand, so I had to pile a bunch of rocks to reach the car tire.

I pulled the tire out. It was full of mud so was heavy until I scooped the mud out. I rolled it to the fire hydrant with the bricks.

I put a cement tile in it to discourage party goers from bringing the tire back into the woods.

I found some more bricks on the shoreline when taking out the car tire. I brought them to the pile next to the fire hydrant.. You can tell they are a new addition to the pile by their appearance of looking wet.

Start of the day at Cap St Jacques free boat launch area. RDP 75

In the first video my saw blade broke (at 2:36) due to pushing the saw/ not letting the tool do the work and choosing bad places to start cutting.
The second video at 1:20 has me removing the first of the three pieces of the day.

A bucket of broken glass and such at Cap St Jacques free boat launch area. RDP 75

A photo for old times (blogging) sake. The garbage bin I dump all the garbage into with the garbage from the bucket.

Metal frame on the shoreline I have dug out

This bottom edge still needs to be dug some more.

The top edge of the rusting metal frame is free and ready to be cut into a smaller size to be disposed of.

I arrived at the Cap St Jacques free boat launch area to find a Heron on the dock. I cleaned up small garbage that was around.

Then I continued digging out yesterdays toxic creosote wood beam.

Out of the earth

Final placing for now, alongside the other toxic wood beam.

These two toxic beams are attached. I successfully freed them from the earth, but it is too heavy to lift out.

Metal truck frame rusting in the shoreline. I started digging it out.

Took yesterdays metal ladder to the trash bin.

UPDATE
I successfully remove the two beams that were attached, for a total of four toxic beams taken out.

In between RDP 180 and RDP 190 I had collected bricks and brought a bunch out August 9th 2012. The bricks of Aug 9 were removed.
Today I took the rest of the collection out to the same spot next to the fire hydrant.

I used my bike to move the bricks. There is a walking trail in the woods that I could take with my bike. I have a white bucket that mounts onto the bike. I placed several bricks at a time in the bucket.

The shoreline in the top photo is now free from bricks and such materials (to my knowledge).

I collected a bag of garbage from RDP 180 to RDP 190. I forgot to take a photo when I left. In my August 18th post you can see the garbage bag.

Cheval Blanc Rapides/Whitehorse rapids woods.

I pulled this metal thing out of the shoreline.

I tried attaching some wheels to it. It worked for a while.

I ended up placing it on the wooden platform on my bike. It hit trees and bushes as I moved along, but having it mobile(on wheels) was far better then carrying it the distance to the street.

I put it with the other days garbage. This was Thursday morning, garbage collection day, and the person living on the street close by took all this garbage to their own driveway for the city to pick up. I don't know if the city took it.

I also picked up a quarter (1/4) bucket of glass from the shoreline.

I take this glass to a city park garbage can that is a relatively short distance away.

I showed up at RDP 200 and found this first. Someone had dumped a bunch of grass and soil on the far right hand side. Because it is natural eh? This is the same place where the tree stumps were dumped.

Then I started cleaning the shoreline and amongst regular garbage I found human feces. Why human? It has used tissues alongside the feces. I should have taken a photo for evidence, but I don't think you would want to see it.

Anyways the RSMA report of this waterfront has been high in feces and I wonder if its from this.

Street sewer outlet into the river.

Dog feces bags (black)

Dog feces bags (black)
People dump their dog feces in the storm drains. This also damages the river quality.
Feces is feces.

End of the day cleaning , I collected one bag of garbage from the shoreline of RDP 200. A picked up one piece of ugly cement off the shoreline.
