Bags of garbage

The photos of bags of garbage on this blog do not magically appear. I fill the garbage bag up in 15 min. to an hour and take the bag to be picked up by the city. Most garbage comes from little bits everywhere that add up to one large bag when collected into a group. Photos height and width (March 26, 2024) now match original.

Progress in Paving

Starting construction at Cheval Blanc Rapides/Whitehorse Rapids

Today construction near finished.
Just a little bit more, just a little bit.

Reminds me of the arsonist in the movie Backdraft.

And what about the world, Ronald?

What would you like to do with the whole world?

              Burn it all
.
Change it to Pave it all

Then: Woods near Pierrefonds Comprehensive high school.

Now, just a little bit, just a bit.

Before: Last woods on the eastern tip of Roxboro.

After: Five? new houses. Two?  with  pools.

When is the paving going to stop?

Switch between Google and Bing maps to see the difference that is happening (fast), and when in the map viewer, switch from Satellite view to birds eye view to see if you can find any changes.

St John (St Jean) and Brunswick

When I was a child I used to play in a swamp with bulrushes. The swamp used to be a stream. The stream had got blocked up. The photo above has a red square drawn in it. This is where a farm was with the stream swamp, and it is all gone now. Who ever lived there when it was a farm is probably dead today.

Before ( on Northern St Jeans Blvd)

Imagine if you were sold by the green scenery?

After. Green woods are now gone for more Condos.

This is amazing. Literally every green-space is being developed. The living conditions will be horrible with all the concrete asphalt and buildings. One big cement city.

And the Pièce de résistance a new Boulevard for the west island.
