Bags of garbage

The photos of bags of garbage on this blog do not magically appear. I fill the garbage bag up in 15 min. to an hour and take the bag to be picked up by the city. Most garbage comes from little bits everywhere that add up to one large bag when collected into a group. Photos height and width (March 26, 2024) now match original.

Good News for the woods of Cheval Blanc rapids/ White Horse rapids.!
I started work on removing the sewer pipe March 12.

Photo of bolt cutters and busted sewer pipe.
.

Photo of starting work today.

The good news is that metal fatigue works on the rebar!
.

Photo of first rebar broken off. I just had to bend it back and forth a few times with the bend in the same spot. No power tools needed! Thank goodness.
.

Photo of second rebar broken off.
.

Final for the morning. I had to catch the last bus.

Tried cutting the metal on the sewer pipe, but it did not work. The sub-metal place holder does cut with the boltcutters though.
Water level is high, five inch's high approximately, so I need rubber boots to work there.
I have an idea metal fatigue might work. Bolt cut off the supporting metal, then bend the band back and forth until the metal fatigues and snaps off. I would be a bunch of work, but maybe better than a hacksaw.
Alternately I could bring a cutting power tool of some kind with a power supply and power inverter-converter.
I have a broken sawz-all kind of tool that I hope to fix, otherwise I think its like $200.00 for a new sawz-all. I have a weak reciprocal saw I might try.

I have been cleaning without taking photos afterwards
Today I found a Twenty Dollar bill. I have found $20.00 on two other occasions, for a grand total of $60.00 over the years.
I wonder how the $20.00 was lost. No one would place it there would they?

I pulled this Christmas tree out of the forest at the far eastern part of the Cheval blanc rapids area.
Some idiot thought it would biodegrade. Christmas trees are extreme fire hazards. To biodegrade it has to go through a wood-chipper to get the wood into contact with moisture and soil. Otherwise it would take 25 years or a fire to get it back into the ecosystem. So I pulled it out the other day, just took a photo today.

Three medium bags of garbage.

I picked up a bunch of garbage and plastic in the woods at the fire hydrant. This included dog poop bags, that I wasn't going to pick up- but I have to because no one else is going to.
Some idiot picks up their dog poop, but then throws the bag into the woods, for people to see and smell. The plastic does not rot you moron. Why did you pick it up in the bag for? How brain damaged are you? Do you not see the fifteen other bags you previously threw? I like dogs, it is the dog-owner who doesn't clean up for the next person I dislike.

At Cheval blanc parkI walked along the shoreline that is above the riverbank.
The water is at a very high level.
Lots of dog shit from the poop factories. I don't pick up dog shit.
I like dogs, it is the dog-owner who doesn't clean up for the next person I dislike.
In total I filled two small bags with plastic and bottles and various items of garbage.

The two garbage containers are overflowing. Who ever is going to pick it up is gong to be upset at the amount of work necessary to clean it up.

I hope park management is smart enough to realize with this early spring-summer the parks are being used, the garbage cans are being filled with garbage. So therefor need to be serviced ahead of the summer schedule.

Spring is here

Spring is here, I have been smashing this piece of cement in the Cheval Blanc woods/Whitehorse woods. The two pictures show what I did today. The first picture is the damage I did to it previously, originally it was a complete cement tube shape.

Wear eye protection if you use a sledgehammer. I did a bit more on the left hand side, but didn't take a photo. I am going to bring bolt cutters to cut the steel supports that remains. I don't know if it will cut.
