Bags of garbage

The photos of bags of garbage on this blog do not magically appear. I fill the garbage bag up in 15 min. to an hour and take the bag to be picked up by the city. Most garbage comes from little bits everywhere that add up to one large bag when collected into a group. Photos height and width (March 26, 2024) now match original.

Cheval Blanc/Whitehorse rapids shoreline.

fish hooks
At Parc Des Rapides-du-Cheval-Blanc / Whitehorse rapids and I found a fisher-persons tool box without the box. The "magic" tools of metal hooks and lead weights were on the shoreline. This is worse than finding broken glass, as a metal hook is intended to hook something. I counted 41 (forty one) fishing hooks left behind on the shoreline, waiting for some child, pet dog, or wild animal to get stuck on them. I took what I could find to the garbage.

Tiny but tedious.

Later in the day I went to Collège/cégep gérald-godin and picked up a few pieces of garbage from the shoreline.

At Park Paquin I put on plastic croc shoes and cleaned the shoreline of what garbage I could see.

Photo of the garbage I collected at the city garbage container.Glass bottle deposits are too low, or do not exist so then people just toss the bottle when they are finished with the liquid inside.

Park Paquin or RDP 200
Nature photo of the lake/river

As I arrived there was a male duck on the shoreline.
The water is full of tiny fish.
I did not bring gloves or a bag, so only collected a tiny amount of garbage.

Park Paquin, or RDP 200 I walked the shoreline and cleaned up a bit of garbage.

View of the river/riviere  des prairies. The river opens to a small lake in this area.

These wild roses come back every summer. The city had removed all the other wild rose bushes last year.

I cleaned a bit of Park Paquin.

I found a NEW kind of plastic fork, they chromed it to look like a (real) metal one. I broke it in half, the buyer of the fork could have used it much longer.
Two large dead fish were on the shoreline. Stinky and full of flies. Some fisher-person had a good time.
