Bags of garbage

The photos of bags of garbage on this blog do not magically appear. I fill the garbage bag up in 15 min. to an hour and take the bag to be picked up by the city. Most garbage comes from little bits everywhere that add up to one large bag when collected into a group. Photos height and width (March 26, 2024) now match original.

I went to RDP 200 or park Paquin to clean. As I arrived this group of Canadian geese decided to land in the bay, right in front of me on the shoreline.
The geese chilled out as I walked/cleaned the shoreline.
When I finished my walk/cleaning of the shoreline the geese went to see what they could find. Sorry to say they didn't find much to eat and left shortly.

People with garbage who decide to not just drop it, they try to hide their garbage in holes.
Beer and Pepsi

End of the morning cleaning, not much garbage, which is a good thing. :)

General area of where I cleaned.

Bricks I found on the shoreline and brought to the city curb. I used a rack on my bicycle to carry them over the long distance.

Bucket of broken glass and other garbage
Cleaned a bit of the shoreline of Cheval Blanc/ Whitehorse rapids. I met a few people while I was cleaning.

Happy Birthday Balloon

Balloon on shoreline

I collected a small bag of garbage from the shoreline of RDP200

The city did a makeover of RDP200/ park Paquin. Quite a surprise. They cut down all the overgrown bushes. I wonder if the drunks and drug addicts will still use the park with no where to hide. The city cement building will now be the prime target for people who need to use the toilet.
Only one bad thing about this makeover, they totally removed the rosebush-flowers that were incredible at making beautiful colorful flowers late into the fall/winter season. I would have liked to keep those.

Cheval Blanc /Whitehorse rapids shoreline I collected two bags of garbage. A few beer bottles are on the bottom of the bags as they are heavy relative to the other garbage. The city removed the perfectly good square metal trash can for the circular plastic Bum-Proof trash can with a lock on the side. "Garbage" or "not garbage" with no option to recycle aluminum cans or glass. What a waste.
