June 17, 2025 I cleaned the shoreline at

Park Anciens-Combattants

I collected-made my first (small) bag of garbage in about ten minutes and had to get a standard black garbage bag to continue. At noon my watch alerted me and I wrapped up the cleaning. It was hot!

The city garbage containers are all full. I will return in a week to see if they have emptied them.

I cleaned at Park Paquin again. I took a video the day before of the garbage that returned to the shoreline but have to find it and stick it here.

I cleaned the shoreline at park Paquin April 27, 2025.

I took a video of the 1) start/introduction, and 2) the work of cleaning on the flooded shoreline.

At this time the video is at a one to one time ratio. I hope to learn the editing skills to speed up the cleaning and make videos more entertaining.

If you like the sounds of birds, there are some bird sounds of the birds that live in the area while I clean.

I cleaned at the no name Park that has access to the river , that is just a bit north of Park Paquin.

Not enough garbage to photograph.

Tiny blue flowers are coming out of the earth in several places. You have to look for them.

If the garbage was there you don't see the blue flowers, so I am happy to clean up.

I clean the shoreline of Rivière des Prairies a short distance eastward from Cap St. Jacques. The property and ancient house was recently purchased by the city ( Mayor Jim Beis) I believe.

No fishing line was found, but nine used women's feminine hygiene products (tampons) were on the shoreline indicating household sewage was landing here , household sewage making it unsafe to get in the water.

The mayor said it was dirty, but tell me who is going to clean it up?

How quickly will the plastic pollution return is MY question, as no one cleans the shoreline. No one is paid to clean the shoreline. I hope the plastic will be slow to return. Mark this as the start date. Plastic does not rot or biodegrade.

I have had (plastic) cleaning success at a bay area in eastern Whitehorse rapids. I made a video of my self cleaning up all the plastic, and new plastic has not arrived. Prince and princess, had just looked at the plastic on the shoreline and said " How sad." and did nothing.
