Bags of garbage

The photos of bags of garbage on this blog do not magically appear. I fill the garbage bag up in 15 min. to an hour and take the bag to be picked up by the city. Most garbage comes from little bits everywhere that add up to one large bag when collected into a group. Photos height and width (March 26, 2024) now match original.

Regarding my previous post of injury , I think I am healed. Thanks if you cared.

Found a joke today twisting the saying " If you are not part of the solution , you are part of the problem" twisted to "If you are not part of the problem, you are part of the solution".  We need an impartial judge to decide the validity of claims. We need proof such as photos.

I am injured. I hope I heal so I can serve the-my creator in my efforts to clean the parks.
In naming an illness, in writing it on paper it does give the illness strength, so I chose not to specify the illness, so not to strengthen it.
The animals that live amungst the garbage, I wonder of them.

Review of 2012

Review of 2012
This is under construction. A first draft from memory. I have to go through my photo archive.

Spectacular cleaning.
In the spring I smashed to rubble an abandoned sewer drain, located in the Whitehorse woods.
I took out a rear car differential that was next to the (no 1) four cylinder engine block in Whitehorse woods.
I took out a large sink and two car engine blocks (1) (2) from the shoreline/ out of the woods/public park.
I took out bricks, obviously man made garbage distracting people from nature.
Took out car tires (here is one) and a 100 year old fence.
I took out asphalt from the shoreline, it crumbles if you smash it. I don't know if it is poisonous or not. I would assume (it is) there is lead or whatever in the oil and whatever makes asphalt.
I rousted two squatters.
I took out some rotting 8X8 poisonous wood beams and started work on an unsightly truck frame.

Regular cleaning
Took out several buckets of broken glass and many bags of regular garbage.

Snow Dump

I saw this the other day. The city removed the yellow cement barriers to this small park.

This is where they moved them to.

Irony : Dumping at a no dump park.
So they started dumping snow in it. It is their property so they have the right to do what they want with it.
I would expect a warning sign to be put up in the spring-summer , warning people not to play there with their children or pets, unless they want to ingest toxic materials from the ground.
I don`t think they will put up a warning sign.
Then if a child or a pet gets poisoned by lead or whatever toxic materials are left over when the snow melts, no one will be able to trace it back to its source. Who is going to pay for the tests to the land (summer grass) to prove the point of origin? Sue the city etcetra?

Lead poisoning stories

 http://www.motherjones.com/environment/2012/12/soil-lead-researcher-howard-mielke

"I had been involved in doing lead work already, and I discovered that her childcare center in the state of Minnesota had interiors that were very well maintained, but they let the children go outside in basically a hazardous waste site because nobody had bothered about the outside.

She was playing in a sandbox and around the sandbox was soil contaminated with lead..."

December 14, 2012

I had a previous post telling that it was the end of the season, it wasn't. We had a few more good days.
Like the Jerry Seinfeld comedy bit on how to turn over a soda machine or a relationship, it rocks back and forth a few times before it falls over.
It is now winter with everything frozen.
